Russian UAVs Attacked Three Foreign Vessels In The Black Sea

  • 29.05.2026, 10:37

Fires broke out on board, two people were injured

One vessel was towed to port, Vice Prime Minister for Ukraine's Reconstruction - Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Alexei Kuleba reported.

The hits resulted in fires on board the vessels, which were extinguished by the crews.

On the Vanuatu-flagged vessel, two crew members were slightly injured - they received the necessary assistance. The vessel itself was towed away for repairs.

"Despite constant Russian attacks, Ukraine keeps the sea corridor operating, and ports and crews continue to ensure cargo movement and global food security," Kuleba stressed.

Attacks on civilian vessels in the Black Sea are a regular part of the Russian-Ukrainian war at sea, affecting merchant and cargo ships, occurring both off Ukrainian ports and in international waters and resulting in damage, crew injuries and increased risks to shipping.

Since the beginning of 2026, attacks related to civilian shipping in the Black Sea have evolved into a sustained pattern of risk to the merchant fleet rather than isolated incidents.
