The decision came against the backdrop of Japan's increased military rearmament.

Tokyo will send four Self-Defense Force soldiers on a NATO mission to study combat experience and analyze new combat tactics, Politico reported.

The personnel will be stationed in the city of Wiesbaden, where the Alliance mission coordinates military aid for Ukraine, trains Ukrainian fighters and helps with equipment repairs.

Japanese Defense Minister Shinjiro Koizumi said the event is of great significance for the country.

- The deployment marks a further deepening of cooperation between Japan and NATO," he said.

It is noted that such a decision was made against the background of Japan's increasing military rearmament and tensions with Russia and China.
