Zelensky and the Finnish prime minister discussed strengthening air defense and a new aid package.

Finland will allocate $300 million for defense support to Ukraine, and the parties also discussed strengthening air defense.

This is reported by Charter97.org with reference to a statement by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

The Ukrainian president said that during a meeting with Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo they discussed the use of the new aid package. The funds will be directed primarily to strengthening Ukrainian air defense.

"We sincerely appreciate it, and we discussed priority areas of our defense - primarily in air defense - which can be strengthened with the help of this package," the president said.

The head of state suggested strengthening bilateral partnership. In particular, we are talking about signing a security agreement in the Drone Deal format.

"Ukraine is ready to share expertise and strengthen those who have been strengthening us since the beginning of the full-scale invasion," Zelensky emphasized.

The politicians also touched upon the issue of Ukraine's European integration. Now there is a good opportunity to open negotiation clusters, and the state fully deserves it.
