On the night of May 30, the Rostov region in Russia was massively attacked by drones. The city of Taganrog came under attack, where a series of explosions took place and a fire is being recorded in the port area, "Focus" reports.
A fire at the local port has raised a fire on a tanker, a fuel tank is also blazing. This was reported by the governor of the Rostov region Yuri Slyusar, who confirmed the massive attack on the region in his Telegram channel.
An administrative building in the port also caught fire, according to the Russian official. There is no information about casualties or damage, Slyusar added.
In addition, the governor reported on the "destruction of drones" in the Taganrog, Chertkovo, Matveevo-Kurgan and Neklinovsky districts.
"In the village of Grekovo-Timofeevka in the Matveevo-Kurgan district, a gas pipe in a house caught fire as a result of falling drone debris, the roof and glazing were damaged," Slyusar added.
The Taganrog mayor's office said in the morning that a fire at the port caused by a drone attack had allegedly been eliminated. No spillage of oil products was recorded as a result of the fire.
It is worth noting that on the night of May 30, drones also attacked Russia's Krasnodar region and occupied Crimea: analysts reported that local oil depots may have come under attack.
