The country has agreed with Ukraine to form a new partnership.

Canada has reached an agreement with Ukraine on setting up production of drones for Ukrainian troops on the territory of the country. This is reported by the military departments of the two countries. According to the Canadian Department of National Defense, the agreement was concluded this week during the CANSEC defense exhibition. It involves the creation of a new Airlogix-Sentinel partnership. It is about the joint efforts of Ukrainian defense technology company Airlogix and Canadian drone manufacturer Sentinel Research and Development.

"With the support of the governments of Canada and Ukraine, this partnership will combine the experience of the companies to produce Ukrainian unmanned systems in Canada for the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the ministry explained. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine specified that under the joint project in Canada will be created production of Ukrainian reconnaissance drones. It is noted that the products will be sent to the AFU. "The project, implemented with the support of the governments of Ukraine and Canada, will accelerate the supply of Ukrainian warriors with equipment for reconnaissance and planning operations," - reported in the department.

In August 2025, President Vladimir Zelensky reported on the agreements reached with the Canadian authorities in the field of defense. "The priority is drones for the frontline, because there is a significant funding gap and the need to significantly increase their supply," he reported. The head of the Canadian government Mark Carney in turn stated that the production of UAVs is planned to be located both in Canada and Ukraine.
