It has become known who they will affect.

Belarus is introducing several pension changes. One of them concerns those who live in boarding houses. The project "Chrysanthemum" tells the details about these innovations.

The innovation on pensions of those who live in boarding houses

Belarus is introducing changes on guardianship and custody of the incapacitated and limited capacity. One of the innovations concerns the elderly, who live in social boarding houses: if a pensioner or another ward temporarily leaves such an institution and lives with relatives or other close people for more than a month, part of his pension will be able to be transferred to those who took care of him. We are talking about the amount of up to 90% of the pension for the period of such a "vacation".

The officials have also expanded the list of expenses that can be paid from the funds of the ward. Now the money can be used not only for everyday needs, but also, for example, for repair of personal belongings and equipment, mobile communications, subscriptions to newspapers and magazines, payment of utilities and taxes on their property.

Changes in occupational pensions

From July 1, Belarus will reduce the list of jobs with harmful and difficult working conditions, which had been in force since 2005 and gave the right to occupational pension insurance.

The following 840 professions and positions were excluded from this list, which were recognized as no longer relevant:

406 - are no longer actually used in the economy;

356 - harmful working conditions were not confirmed by the results of certification;

78 - working conditions were recognized as optimal or permissible.

Because of this reduction, some workers will no longer qualify for professional pension insurance.

On May 29, the Ministry of Labor published an instruction on the application of lists of industries, works, professions, positions and indicators for professional pension insurance.

Tax innovation

From July 1, Belarus may significantly change the rules for taxpayers of professional income tax (PIT). One of the main innovations is the introduction of the minimum monthly payment, it will amount to Br45 per month. But for pensioners, this payment will be Br18.
