You can see the fire from afar.
On the night of May 31, Ukrainian drones again attacked an oil depot in the village of Matveev Kurgan in Rostov Region. After the explosions in the settlement, a large-scale fire is now blazing at the attacked facility, writes OBOZ.UA.
Russian authorities in the region and district are not reporting on the attack and fire at all, their only report was around midnight about the "drone danger." But Ukrainian Osint-communities have gathered reactions from local residents.
The attack apparently began in the last minutes of Saturday, May 30. And most locals reacted to it with questions like "what, again?". The fact is that 24 hours earlier the Rostov region, and Matveev Kurgan in particular, had been under attack by Ukrainian drones.
But yesterday Matveev Kurgan was only hit by an attack that targeted other targets in the region. Today there was a massive drone overflight specifically to the village's refinery.
Matveev Kurgan is located in the Rostov region - at the rear of the occupation group. Rostov region is considered a key logistical hub for fuel and ammunition supplies to the front: Russia's southern transportation corridor along the Azov Sea coast passes through it.
The Matveev-Kurgan oil depot (operating since 1955), which is the same name as the settlement, supplies fuel to organizations in various industries and retails it through its own filling stations.
