German Foreign Minister Urges Europe To Take An Example From The Pace Of Innovation In Ukraine

Military capabilities can be developed and built up much faster than we have done in Europe.

German Foreign Minister Johohann Wadeful said that the reduction of the number of the US military in the FRG should encourage Europe to accelerate the development of its own military capabilities following the example of Ukraine. This writes Politico.

"The example of Ukraine shows that military capabilities can be developed and built up much faster than we have done in Europe over the past decades," Wadeful said.

He said that the decision of the United States to withdraw some troops from Germany should be seen as a new challenge and incentive to develop its own defense capabilities.

"We should see this as a new call for faster development and deployment of the U.S. military in Germany," he said.
