Three German Parties Quit Social Network X Of Ilon Musk

They explained their decision.

The German Social Democratic Party (SPD) faction in the Bundestag, the Greens and the Left Party (LP) have simultaneously announced that they are quitting the social network X.

They published the same message on their pages, saying that the social network, owned by American billionaire Ilon Musk, has "descended into chaos" in recent years. It believes political debate is alive with the sharing of opinions.

"X, on the other hand, increasingly promotes misinformation. We therefore no longer maintain this account," the publications said.

The parties assured that they would continue their presence on other social networks.

The faction of the far-right political force Alternative for Germany reacted to the situation. In its opinion, the three parties' campaign against X proves "how much they are afraid of what they themselves demand - a real discussion when political opponents sit around the table."
