Train And Train Fares Have Been Raised In Belarus

The MART decision takes effect on May 8.
Train fare will become more expensive in Belarus. The corresponding decision was taken by the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART).
Public rail passenger transportation fares on city lines rose about 27% within:
one fare belt by 54 kopecks - up to 2.54 rubles;
two fare belts by 69 kopecks - up to 3.24 rubles (for one direction) and by 1.08 rubles - up to 5.08 rubles (for two directions);
three tariff belts in two directions by 1.23 rubles - up to 5.78 rubles;
four tariff belts in two directions by 1.38 rubles - up to 6.48 rubles.
Tariffs on regional lines also increased:
economical class - by 11 kopecks - up to 52 kopecks (for one zone of travel) and by 1.1 kopecks - up to 5.2 kopecks (for one kilometer of travel);
business class (for passengers over ten years old) - in the range of 0.7-23.21 rubles - up to 5.12-168.28 rubles (tariffs depend on the distance, as well as the type of rolling stock and car).
The tariffs for the transportation of passengers by rail on interregional lines of economy and business class, the cost of a placekarta and travel document, rates for children's tickets and passes of all types, as well as tariffs for the transportation of luggage were also revised.
The MART resolution will come into force on May 8 this year.
The last time the cost of travel in these trains was raised in July 2025.
