The Ministry of Emergency Situations revealed the details.

Heavy rain flooded several sections of roads in Minsk and seriously complicated traffic in the evening on May 8. According to the EMERCOM, the consequences of bad weather are being eliminated by rescuers and municipal services of the city.

For Friday's downpour in Minsk, seven road sections were flooded, mainly in Frunzenski district. There were no cases of falling trees.

The movement of 11 trolleybus and 12 bus routes was temporarily stopped. Later the work of public transport was restored.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and municipal services continue to eliminate the consequences of waterlogging. Rescuers are helping to clear the storm sewer near "Zhdanovichi" trading house, pumping out water on Lyutsinskaya Street and on the territories of private houses in Frunzensky and Moskovsky districts.

In addition, EMERCOM workers towed two cars near Mazurova and Lobanka Streets.

According to rescuers, there are no casualties. Monitoring of the situation continues.

In the meantime, there were 10-point traffic jams in Minsk in the evening. According to the service "Yandex.Traffic jams," the most difficult situation is observed on Kozlava, Yanka Kupala, Akademicheskaya and Vaneev streets. The traffic situation is expected to improve after 19.00.
