The U.S. Navy has blocked 70 Iranian tankers from entering or leaving Iran's ports. This is reported by the U.S. Army Central Command on social network X.
"U.S. forces are currently preventing more than 70 tankers from entering or leaving Iranian ports," the report said.
According to CENTCOM, the said merchant ships are capable of carrying more than 166 million barrels of Iranian oil, the value of which is estimated at more than $13 billion.
The U.S. naval blockade of Iran's ports began on April 13, 2026. The restrictions applied to ships entering and leaving Iranian ports through the Strait of Hormuz.
