A fuel crisis is heating up in Russia amid ongoing Ukrainian strikes against oil refineries (refineries). The shortage of automobile fuel previously faced in occupied Sevastopol and Crimea has reached the capital region. In New Moscow, gas stations have started to display notices on limiting the sale of gasoline to 60 liters in one hand, and diesel fuel to 100 liters. This order of fuel dispensing will be in effect "until further notice," according to the messages, which were pointed out by the telegram channel "VChK-OGPU".
Before that, in Sevastopol, the Russian-appointed authorities first limited the sale of gasoline to 20 liters per hand and introduced coupons for diesel fuel, and then announced the "temporary" absence of AI-92 and AI-95. In Crimea also began to release no more than 20 liters of AI-95 in one hand. Limits on fuel sales were also set in other occupied regions of Ukraine - in Zaporizhzhya and Donetsk regions. According to Bloomberg calculations, in May Ukraine set an all-time record for the war, attacking Russian refineries 16 times during the month. More than 10 strikes also hit oil pipelines, oil bases and ports. According to Reuters, by the second half of May, oil refineries in Russia had shut down with a total capacity of 238,000 tons per day - about a quarter of Russia's total capacity.
