Zelenskyy announced the figure.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that in the year since the creation of the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), the Ukrainian military has struck Russian targets of various levels with a total value of nearly $40 billion. The head of state made this statement in an evening address on June 10.
According to the president, the UAS have become one of the key elements of modern warfare and enable the achievement of objectives that were previously unattainable or required significantly greater resources.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine has become the first country in the world to create a separate branch of the military—the Unmanned Systems Forces. He added that Ukrainian drones are already impacting Russian military logistics throughout the depth of the temporarily occupied territories, as well as in border regions of the Russian Federation.
“The most important thing is that these are different types of strikes, and each of them gives us additional opportunities to save lives. The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces are truly a model for many other armies,” Zelenskyy stated.
He noted that Russian military logistics throughout the depth of the temporarily occupied territory are now within reach of Ukrainian drones.
“The Russian border regions are also feeling our impact. The enemy feels it, and we will continue to intensify this,” said the head of state.
