A discussion on Russia's war in Ukraine will take place on the sidelines of the summit.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will attend the G7 summit on June 16 and discuss the situation regarding Russia’s war in Ukraine. This was announced by French President Emmanuel Macron, whose remarks were reported by Ukrinform.

“On Tuesday morning, we will have a discussion on Ukraine with President Zelenskyy. And this is very important for us because we need to renew the convergence of positions within the G7 in support of Ukraine regarding various aspects of this war. In other words, we need support, negotiations, and commitments,” Macron said.

He also noted that the summit will begin with a separate meeting of G7 leaders. There, the heads of state will address “major issues of international crises.” “The next morning, we will have a discussion on Ukraine with President Zelenskyy,” Macron said.
