Ukraine has received information from the United States regarding the threat of a Russian strike using the "Oreshnik" missile.
This was reported by "RBC-Ukraine" by a source within the Ukrainian government.
"Preliminary information was received," said a well-informed source speaking to "RBC-Ukraine."
At the time of publication, there were no official statements from the U.S. administration or warnings from the U.S. Embassy in Kyiv.
As a reminder, Russia may use the “Oreshnik” missile against Ukraine within the next 24 hours. The Ukrainian Air Force has issued an official warning about this and urged the public not to ignore air raid sirens.
As of today, Ukraine is unable to track Oreshnik launches and flight paths on its own, explained Anton Zemlyanoy, a senior analyst at the Ukrainian Center for Security and Cooperation , in a comment to RBC-Ukraine.
Nevertheless, Ukrainian air defense receives information about Russian activity, particularly through intelligence data from partners.
