Virtually the entire peninsula was hit.
On the night of June 13, drones launched a massive attack on occupied Crimea. Reports online indicate that virtually the entire peninsula was targeted.
Explosions and the active engagement of Russian air defense systems were heard in Sevastopol, Simferopol, Dzhankoy, and the Saki district. The attack was reported by the monitoring Telegram channel "Crimean Wind".
Analysts reported that the attack on the occupied peninsula began around 10:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12. As of 4:00 a.m., explosions continue to be heard in various parts of Crimea.
Drones were flying, in particular, over Sevastopol, heading toward Cape Fiolent. Russian air defenses actively attempted to shoot them down, and to this end, the enemy used missiles, the launches of which were captured on camera by eyewitnesses. In total, according to the monitoring channel’s calculations, five air defense missile launches were recorded in Sevastopol. The Pantsir-M1 air defense system was likely in operation.
Around 2:00 a.m., explosions were heard in Simferopol and the surrounding area. Power went out in the town of Oktyabrskoye, according to online reports.
“In Simferopol, drones are attacking a fuel depot on Ukhtomsky Street near the train station,” analysts reported.
At approximately 3:40 a.m., a drone "arrived" in the village of Gvardeyskoye.
“A drone flew over the garrison in the village of Gvardeyskoye; a bright flash was visible,” reported the monitoring channel, citing eyewitness accounts.
Another monitoring channel reported that the entire occupied peninsula came under drone attack last night.
“Crimea, air defense is active… the entire peninsula up to Kerch is under fire,” the message reads.
At the time of publication, there was no official information regarding the consequences of the attack.
