A vivid video.
On the night of June 12, drones from the Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a series of strikes on the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region—three Russian units came under attack while conducting exercises.
This was announced by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
The strike hit the "Vostochny" training ground in the village of Novopetrovka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. Three units were conducting training there simultaneously:
The 40th Marine Brigade (Kamchatka)—the very same unit that had been storming Ugledar for over a year and lost most of its personnel on the outskirts of the city;
The 1461st Regiment of the 36th Army—a Buryat regiment of the Territorial Forces;
The 1466th Regiment of the 5th Army—recruits from Primorsky Krai.
All three units are operating on the Hulyaypole sector of the front in the Zaporizhzhia region.
What was struck at night
In addition to the training ground, the SBS also struck the following targets:
a "Tor-M2" anti-aircraft missile system—near the village of Vershina Vtoraya, Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
a ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun – near Novopetrivka;
a crew of a man-portable anti-aircraft missile system – also in the Novopetrivka area;
command post of the 120th Marine Division’s unmanned aerial vehicle unit—near Novoandriivka, Donetsk Oblast;
technical landing point for a drone unit—near Dolzhansk, Luhansk Oblast.
As a reminder, (Russia is deploying new infrastructure for launching strike drones https://charter97.org/ru/news/2026/6/13/687569/). At least five new facilities have already been identified along the border with Belarus in the Bryansk, Oryol, and Smolensk regions.
