Zelenskyy Explained How Ukraine Is Regaining The Initiative In The War

Ukraine is currently performing better both on the battlefield and in the production of advanced weapons.

Ukraine currently has the upper hand over Russia both on the battlefield and in the production of advanced weapons. The aggressor has lost the initiative.

According to RBC-Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made this statement at the Reuters Next summit.

According to the president, Russian troops attempted to advance on 12 fronts but lost the initiative almost everywhere.

Slow enemy advances are being observed in only two or three sectors, where Russia has concentrated a huge number of troops and equipment.

“On the other fronts, they have indeed lost the initiative, and we have seized it. Furthermore, we are currently more successful on two or three fronts,” Zelensky emphasized.

In particular, the Defense Forces are making gains in the Pokrovsk direction.

At the same time, hostilities continue, as neither side intends to halt its advance on the battlefield.

The head of state also added that Ukraine “is faring better” in terms of delivering medium- and long-range strikes.

According to him, the country plans to manufacture about 10 million drones this year, but production capacity allows for doubling that figure—up to 20 million drones.

Increased international pressure on the aggressor is also having a positive impact on the situation. Western sanctions have already begun to take effect more effectively, although their scope is still insufficient.

The decision by partners to allocate 90 billion euros in European aid has become a significant pillar of the country’s stability.
