A Large Oil Refinery Burns Near Krasnodar After Drone Strikes

On the night of June 2, Ukrainian drones attacked strategic facilities in Russia's Krasnodar Region. One of the targets was the Ilsk oil refinery, which is used to supply the Russian army with fuel, writes "Dialogue".

Local residents began reporting explosions near the plant in the early morning. Photos and videos published on social media indicate that a fire broke out on the plant's territory after the UAV attack.

At the time of publication, Krasnodar Region Governor Veniamin Kondratiev had not commented on the situation. At the same time, the region's Operational Headquarters confirmed the fire at the Ilya refinery, saying that the fire was caused by a drone attack. Additional details were not disclosed.

Ilsk refinery is considered one of the largest oil refineries in southern Russia.
