Why is there a shortage of workers at BJD?
The Minsk branch of BelZhD applied to an intermediary company with a request for recruitment of migrant workers from Nepal and Pakistan, but there were no willing workers. As for Belarusians, many quit the company. Subscribers of the channel Charter97.org in TikTok in comments to the news told why this is happening:
- We should value our workers.
- If there is money, they will find workers.
- It is not enough 1000 rubles.
- In our village the salary is 500 rubles. And that's without weekends, in the collective farm.
- I gave 27 years to BZhD. I left to a place where people are valued. I don't even regret it.
- I work myself. I've been working as a track fitter for 15 years, the salary is small, I will quit my job myself.
- No, of course, no one will work for 1000 rubles.
- I worked 10 years, left BZhD, and I don't regret it.
- For new people - 1000 rubles. Those with experience get about 2000. For people to go to increase the salary is necessary. No one will go to a small salary.
- We'd rather go to Nepal.
- We should pay a decent salary to our own people, and people will come. No one will swing a hammer, crowbar, sledgehammer all day long in the heat, frost, rain, snow for such a salary.
