Tsarev Is Feeling Down And Is Preparing Russians For The Challenges Ahead

Former member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev, who betrayed Ukraine and defected to Russia, posted a pessimistic message on Telegram. He warned Russians that the situation would continue to deteriorate. This was reported by Dialog.UA.

He lashed out at Russian propagandists who continue to convince Russians that “everything is going according to plan” and “everything is under control.”

“It seems they’ve read their own propaganda so much that they’ve come to believe what they’ve written. Now they’re spouting nonsense in all sincerity. At least, that’s how it seems. Let me just remind you of an old truth: a good drug dealer (and lies are a drug, too) doesn’t use his own product. Many people used to criticize me for being pessimistic. There was a time when I believed we should write about problems in the hope that they would be solved. Now it’s pointless to write about them. That’s why I don’t. We’ll reap what we’ve sown… There’s little good in store for us in the near future,” Tsarev wrote.

Ukrainian journalist Denis Kazansky believes that Tsarev’s gloomy mood is linked to the blockade of occupied Crimea.

“Tsarev isn’t in a good mood. After fleeing Ukraine in 2014, he lived in occupied Crimea and owned a resort. He made his money off tourists. Now, for obvious reasons, his business has run into trouble, and look at the reality check he’s facing,” the journalist noted.
