The reason was Iran.
Against the backdrop of the war with Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump's approval rating among Americans has fallen to its lowest level during his second term.
This was reported by Reuters.
According to the results of a Reuters/Ipsos poll, Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 34%. This is the lowest figure since his return to the White House.
Only 24% of those surveyed believe that the war with Iran justified the financial and other costs associated with it. At the same time, about half of the respondents are convinced that the conflict was not worth the expense.
Furthermore, most survey participants are skeptical of the U.S.’s current position on the international stage. Only 23% of Americans, including about half of Republican Party supporters, believe that the United States is now in a more advantageous position vis-à-vis Iran than it was before the war began.
At the same time, 35% of those surveyed explicitly state that Washington’s position has weakened. The remaining respondents were undecided or believe that the situation has remained roughly the same as before.
