Lukashenko Spoke Disparagingly About Ukrainian Troops On The Border With Belarus

The dictator called them “mechanization workers and milkmaids.”

At a meeting with Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov, Alexander Lukashenko spoke disparagingly about Ukrainian troops concentrated on the border with Belarus.

“And there’s no need to push us into a situation where Boris Vyacheslavovich [Gryzlov] is orchestrating a process to drag us into a war. The Russian president and I have discussed this issue a thousand times.

How can we fight against the Ukrainians here, when on that side it’s mostly territorial troops? Are we supposed to shoot at these tractor drivers, milkmaids, and working-class guys who don’t want to fight against Belarusians? “We don’t want to fight the Ukrainians either,” Lukashenko stated.

“I’m not talking about Ukraine. What Ukraine? This isn’t about Ukraine! We understand who we’re fighting today. If they want peace, let’s negotiate on the substance. We don’t need a war. We have enough land, our economy is strong enough, and we have enough problems. So no confrontation. Let’s not stir things up here,” the dictator added.
