The video immediately appeared online and went viral. The camera only captured the moment when Dmitry Medvedev, sitting at the party meeting, was asleep, but it did not show who woke him up. The Chairman of the Russian Security Council spoke after Putin, who had been discussing these fateful times for Russia and the West’s inability to defeat Russia militarily. Medvedev’s remarks sounded even more unusual, as he said it was important to speak honestly with the people, since the trust of the people would help Russia stand up to the West.
This was not the first time the former Russian president had fallen asleep while listening to the current Kremlin leader. The first incident was recorded back in 2014.
