The dictator noted that there were lines at gas stations.

Vladimir Putin, the head of the aggressor state, the Russian Federation, acknowledged for the first time that in Russia gasoline shortages have begun following Ukrainian drone strikes on oil refineries. He claimed that the ban on gasoline exports was imposed “in the interests of domestic consumers.”

This was reported on the Kremlin’s website on Sunday, June 28, following a meeting on fuel supply to Russian regions.

Putin noted that there are lines at gas stations and that the desired grades of gasoline “are not always available.”

“In the interests of domestic consumers, a complete ban on the export of gasoline and jet fuel has been temporarily imposed. The need to impose a complete ban on the export of diesel fuel is also being considered,” Putin said.

He cited a report allegedly provided to him by the Russian Ministry of Energy and stated that “gasoline reserves stand at 1.7 million metric tons, which is practically the same as the level during the same period last year.” According to Putin, the decline amounts to “only 4 percent.”
