Gurulev had to justify his post.
On Monday, June 1, the Telegram channel of Andrey Guruleva, a State Duma deputy from United Russia, posted a message about the situation on the front, in which he reflects on the "positional stalemate" and the technological advantage of the AFU, as well as the fuel crisis in Russia-annexed Crimea, according to Meduza.
The publication said that, among other things, the post says that the advance of Russian forces is "measured in meters and forest belts" and announces "large-scale mobilization" in the fall of 2026.
The text claims that "a fundamental decision on this has already been made." The publication ends with a call to "make decisions and strictly implement them."
Shortly after the publication, Gurulev said in the messenger Max that his Telegram channel had been "stolen" and "texts from there are being distributed by enemies." Notably, the Telegram post has not yet been deleted.
According to RTVI, Gurulov's Telegram channel was hacked in late May. Fraudsters wrote personal messages on behalf of the deputy, demanding an urgent transfer of cryptocurrency.
In addition, the channel published a post about urgent fundraising in cryptocurrency allegedly for drones for the Airborne Forces. Later the publication was removed. According to the deputy's assistant, access to the channel has not yet been restored.
