Swedish Intelligence Has Predicted Russia's Future Without Putin

The problem lies in the sentiments of a segment of Russian society.

Swedish military intelligence believes that Russia will continue to pose a threat to neighboring countries even after the end of Vladimir Putin’s rule. This is reported by Bloomberg reports, citing a statement by the head of Swedish military intelligence, Thomas Nilsson. According to him, Stockholm views the current confrontation with Russia as long-term and structural.

“We do not consider this crisis to be temporary; Russia has chosen its path, and there is no turning back. We are in a state of deep, structural, and protracted strategic confrontation—we cannot simply wish it away,” he said.

The head of Swedish military intelligence noted that the Russian economy continues to face difficulties, and the authorities, he said, are manipulating statistical data to conceal the war’s impact on growth and inflation.

According to him, a segment of Russian society still supports the idea of Russia as a “great power,” even if it does not support the war itself.

“We do not expect any drastic changes,” concluded the head of Swedish military intelligence.
