Dara denied the rumors.

Russian singer Philipp Kirkorov published a big post in which he claimed that Bulgaria won this year's Eurovision Song Contest thanks to him. The winner of the contest, Dara, took to the comments of his post and disputed his claims.

Kirkorov illustrated his post with an image of a Trojan horse with his face on it. He said Bulgaria had not participated for six years due to a lack of funds at its public broadcaster BNT. Therefore, in 2025, he allegedly met the broadcaster's general director Emil Kashlukov and found an unnamed investor who paid for Bulgaria's participation, "Gromadske" writes, citing Bulgarian publication Standart.

Also, according to him, his production company Dream Team, which through producer Ilias Kokotos and composer Dimitris Kontopoulos prepared the singer Dara, was allegedly involved in the Bulgarian performance.

"Bulgaria is my father's homeland, and it was today, on my dad's birthday, that I decided to close the Eurovision gestalt for myself. Morally, I am satisfied. I won this contest," Kirkorov wrote.

Dara disputed the Russian singer's involvement in her victory. Among those who helped her, the singer mentioned her label Virginia Records, public broadcaster BNT and international producers.

"With all due respect, but Bangaranga was written in 2023 at Sofia Song Camp," the singer wrote.

Rumors about Kirkorov's participation in Bulgaria's performance have circulated before, but this is the first time the singer herself has officially responded to them.
