Zelensky Made An Optimistic Statement Regarding EU Accession

Ukraine's president announced important steps in the summer.

Ukraine has fully completed its part of work to move to the next stage of integration with the European Union. Now the country expects its partners to open the first negotiation clusters.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this, according to his official Telegram channel.

According to the head of state, Ukraine has clearly adhered to certain deadlines in preparation for the negotiation process.

Positive shifts have been outlined, in particular, after internal changes in neighboring Hungary.

"There is also progress in the direction of our negotiations with the European Union regarding Ukraine's membership. We will have a very clear schedule of opportunities for movement in the negotiations, especially after the changes in Hungary," Zelensky emphasized.

He added that the Ukrainian side expects to move to the opening of the clusters as early as June this year. The Ukrainian team is in daily contact with the EU representatives.

The president said that every positive news from Brussels is extremely important for the motivation of the Ukrainian people, as it confirms the correctness of the chosen path and support from partners.
