The head of the Ukrainian president's office held a meeting with the state secretary of the Polish Foreign Ministry.

The head of the Ukrainian president's office Kyrylo Budanov held a meeting with Polish Foreign Ministry state secretary Marchin Bosacki on the situation with the awarding of the honorary title "Heroes of the UPA" to a unit of the AFU Special Operations Forces. This was reported by the press service of the Polish Foreign Ministry on Friday, June 5.

The agency noted that the meeting was held at the request of the Ukrainian side. Budanov was accompanied by his deputies Irina Vereshchuk and Sergei Kislitsa.

"Bosacki presented the Polish position, emphasizing that the Ukrainian president's decision caused pain and indignation among Polish society, which since the beginning of the Russian aggression supports Ukraine, which is defending itself. The Secretary of State emphasized that mutual relations should be built on historical truth, respect for victims and dialogue," the statement said.

The Polish Foreign Ministry added that another important item on the agenda was summarizing the current military operations and the situation on the frontline in the context of further diplomatic scenarios and conditions for peace talks.

Bosacki and Budanov reaffirmed the strategic nature of Polish-Ukrainian cooperation and its importance given the challenges related to the security of the region and the ongoing p
