Their release was scheduled for July 3.

Ahead of July 3, 32 people were pardoned. Lukashenko signed the corresponding decree.

“Ahead of Independence Day, 32 people have been pardoned, 28 of whom were convicted of extremist crimes,” the dictator’s press service reported.

Twenty women and 12 men were pardoned.

It should be noted that on March 19, Lukashenko released 250 prisoners in exchange for further easing of U.S. sanctions. 235 people remained in Belarus, while the rest were sent to Lithuania.
