Belarusians Have Been Warned Of Possible Power Outages

In Belarus on Saturday, July 12, weather conditions are expected to deteriorate. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has warned that thunderstorms and strong winds could damage power and communication lines, cause power outages, lead to flooding, and create hazardous driving conditions.
According to the agency, the inclement weather may cause power outages in some areas, disruptions to communication services, as well as fires and localized flooding. Drivers have also been warned about reduced visibility and deteriorating driving conditions.
Forecasters predict brief showers across most of the country, with thunderstorms in some areas. Heavy precipitation is expected in northeastern Belarus during the day, and fog is possible in some areas in the morning.
During thunderstorms, wind gusts may reach 14 meters per second. Daytime temperatures will range from +18 to +24 degrees, and up to +26 in the north of the country.
