In the final, the Italian defeated the German Zverev.

Jannik Sinner, the world No. 1, won Wimbledon for the second consecutive year. The match against German tennis player Alexander Zverev, which lasted nearly four hours, ended with a score of 6–7, 7–6, 6–3, 6–4, according to BBC.

“You’ve proven once again why you’re the best player in the world. It was great to share Center Court with you on the final weekend. It’s a huge honor for me to be here. I didn’t win, but first and foremost, I congratulate you,” Zverev said in response to his loss.

As French tennis player Marion Bartoli noted, Sinner secured his 100th Grand Slam victory.

“I think we’ve seen a new Novak Djokovic who will dominate tennis for the next 10 to 15 years,” she said.
