Problems With Cell Service And The Internet Have Begun In The Gomel Region

Authorities in Gomel are reporting issues with the A1 network. They have distributed a press release from the operator.

“We would like to inform you that at this time, some of the company’s customers may be experiencing temporary difficulties accessing voice services and mobile internet. A1’s technical services are already working to promptly resolve the issue and restore normal equipment operation. Please note: until restoration work is fully completed, brief service interruptions are possible,” the statement reads.

It is unclear from the authorities’ statement who has been affected by the service outage.

Readers of “Strong News” are reporting issues with A1’s service in various cities. In addition to mobile internet, there are disruptions with cable TV.

“No connection—I called A1, and they said service had gone down in Gomel and the surrounding region, as well as in Mogilev and the surrounding region; there are problems on the Minsk-Gomel data transmission line, Minsk-Mogilev; according to the operator, they’re working to fix the issues,” a reader said in comments on social media.

In Zhlobin, according to the publication’s readers, service was down for an hour, but the situation has begun to improve.
