Following the Pakistanis, the dictator decided to populate the country with Uzbeks.
Belarus plans to establish a system for attracting workers from other countries. Alexander Lukashenko said that Ukrainians and Russians are already coming to the country, and now the authorities are ready to accept citizens of Uzbekistan as well.
One idea is to invite Uzbek specialists to work in Belarusian agriculture. At the same time, investors from Uzbekistan will be able to establish businesses in Belarus and export meat, milk, and other products produced there back to their home country.
According to the usurper, certain regions are in particular need of workers. In the near future, about 200 Uzbek citizens are ready to come to the Vitebsk Region. Lukashenko also suggested focusing on the southeastern part of the Mogilev Region.
The plan is not to distribute foreign workers en masse, but rather to match them to the needs of specific enterprises: however many people a manager requests, that is how many will be sent. If necessary, specialists can receive additional training once they arrive in Belarus.
“But preferably as families. We really need these people,” Lukashenko said.
Currently, there are 7,000 Uzbek citizens registered in Belarus, 1,500 of whom are employed in the economy, according to the head of the dictator’s administration Dmitry Krutoy. In addition, many Uzbek students are studying at Belarusian universities. The authorities do not rule out the possibility that some graduates will stay to work in the country.
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko stated that due to a labor shortage, Belarus would recruit people primarily from Asian countries. He also suggested that foreigners come with their families and settle in different regions of the country.
