The U.S. Plans To "dissolve" The International Criminal Court

Marco Rubio made this statement.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the administration of President Donald Trump intends to “dismantle” the International Criminal Court, and called on other countries to join this campaign.
This was reported by CNN.
Rubio accused the ICC of waging war against the U.S. not with bullets or missiles, but with the force of so-called international law.
Journalists note that the conflict began during Donald Trump’s first presidential term, when the court attempted to investigate alleged war crimes committed by U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan. During Trump’s second term, Washington has already imposed a series of sanctions against ICC officials for their attempts to investigate U.S. and Israeli actions against Iran.
Specifically, in an article in The Wall Street Journal, Rubio wrote that the U.S. is “dismantling” the ICC.
“Using every tool at our government’s disposal, working together with every ally willing to act alongside us, we will dismantle the ICC—brick by brick, if necessary,” he said.
As CNN notes, Rubio has recently launched a large-scale campaign aimed at diplomatically isolating the court. The U.S. is not only urging countries to refuse to recognize the ICC’s jurisdiction but is also warning that states that continue to support the court while receiving U.S. aid may face increased scrutiny and a review of cooperation.
In his view, the institution “supports and manages a powerful network of left-wing nongovernmental organizations, self-righteous globalists, and hostile third-world governments united by their hostility toward the United States.”
High-ranking U.S. officials, including the Secretary of State, the Deputy Secretary of State, and U.S. ambassadors, are already conducting diplomatic negotiations to persuade states that are parties to the Rome Statute to withdraw from the ICC and cease financial support for the court.
