What are they preparing for?

The Gomel City Executive Committee continues to make purchases for the needs of the local “territorial defense,” noted "Flagstok". While last time the purchases consisted mainly of office supplies, this time they are much more substantial.

For example, a vehicle immobilizer is being purchased for the Sharpilovsky Village Executive Committee.

On July 14, a tender was published for the procurement of equipment for “civil defense,” specifically: a power station, a “Liana” vehicle barrier, camouflage netting, anti-drone netting, chain-link fencing, “Egoza” barbed wire, and a portable metal barrier.

The total maximum purchase price is over 16,000 rubles (nearly $5,700). The goods must be delivered by August 14.

The delivery deadline differs from previous procurements, so it can be assumed that Gomel’s “civil defense” forces are either preparing for the next, as-yet-unannounced, exercises or are gradually strengthening their material base.
