The agency noted the Lukashenko regime's promise to pay workers from Uzbekistan between $900 and $1,200.

Videos have been circulating on social media in which residents of the Andijan Region who had traveled to Belarus for seasonal work complained about their wages.

The Uzbekistan Migration Agency commented on the situation.

According to the agency, more than 250 residents of the Andijan region were sent to Belarus to work in agriculture and livestock farming.

In video messages, some migrant workers reported that their employers had offered them a monthly wage of 500 U.S. dollars. According to them, after deducting expenses for housing and daily necessities, the remaining amount does not meet their expected income. As a result, some of them have expressed a desire to return to Uzbekistan.

According to Gulruh Tulaeva , head of the press service for the Migration Agency , agency representatives in Belarus, together with relevant officials from the Andijan Regional Administration, are assessing the situation on the ground.

According to her, if it is determined that the employer is not fulfilling the terms of the employment contract or is not paying the agreed-upon wages, the citizens will be offered other jobs. Measures are currently being taken to resolve the situation.

The agency clarified that the project is being implemented under an agreement between the Andijan Regional Administration, the Migration Agency, and the Committee on Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Region of Belarus.

Under the terms of the project, the average monthly wage should be $900–1,000, and in some cases, up to $1,200.

As a reminder, on July 8–9, during the state visit of Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus, an intergovernmental agreement was signed on the organized recruitment of citizens for temporary employment.
