Fedorov Steps Down As Ukraine's Defense Minister

He wrote a farewell post and summarized his work.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has effectively confirmed his resignation from the post by publishing a farewell message on his Telegram channel.
“It was a great honor to serve the Ukrainian people as Minister of Defense,” he wrote.
In the post, he listed his achievements and unfulfilled goals during his tenure and announced that he would continue to focus on military innovation.
Fedorov held the position for about half a year. He was appointed head of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on January 14, 2026. Prior to that, he served in the government as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, where he was responsible for the development of digital services and oversaw the unmanned aerial vehicle sector.
