The Security Service of Ukraine announced that the tankers Louise 1 and Banda had been struck. The agency reported that these tankers were involved in transporting Russian crude oil in circumvention of sanctions.

According to the Ukrainian Security Service, the Louise 1 was transporting cargo from Russian ports on the Baltic and Black Seas while disabling its automatic identification system, and has transported nearly 3 million metric tons of Russian Urals crude oil this year alone. The tanker Banda also transported Russian crude oil from the ports of Ust-Luga, Kerch, Novorossiysk, and Nakhodka, the agency reports.

It should be noted that earlier, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert “Madyar” Brovdi stated that 20 Russian ships had been struck in the Black Sea.
