Due to the dismissal of Defense Minister Fedorov.

Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force Pavel Elizarov has resigned following the dismissal of Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

“Unfortunately, in the fifth year of the war, I have submitted my resignation from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I believe that M. Fedorov’s removal is a great blow to the country’s defense capabilities. Glory to Ukraine!” he wrote on his page at Facebook.

In the report, Yelizarov calls Fedorov the initiator of strategic reforms in the country’s air defense sector. According to him, blocking these reforms “will result in numerous casualties and destruction in Ukraine as a result of Russia’s aggression.”

Regarding resignation of 35-year-old Fedorov, who had headed Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense for just half a year, became known on July 15. He himself summed up his work and thanked his team for their “effective 24/7 service.” “I will continue to work toward the mission I came to the Ministry of Defense with—to defeat the enemy through asymmetry, rapid innovation, and organizational strength,” he noted.
