Long Weekend: Belarusians Are Leaving The Country

Huge lines.
Ahead of the long weekend, lines have grown longer at border crossings for travelers leaving Belarus. This was reported by the ticket service Atlasbus.
The situation is most tense on the Polish border. Wait times at the border are reaching 5–7 hours. The longest delays are being reported at the “Brest” border crossing, while buses are passing through “Berestovitsa” slightly faster.
The situation at the Belarusian-Lithuanian border remains calm: even in the days leading up to the holidays, buses are running on schedule.
Due to the lengthy border crossing process, not only are arrival times affected, but so are the schedules for return trips.
Passengers are advised not to worry if a bus does not arrive at the scheduled time: delays are due to lines at the border, not to service cancellations. The carrier announces changes via its Telegram channel and also sends SMS notifications to passengers.
Those in Poland or Lithuania are advised to provide a phone number with roaming enabled when purchasing tickets to receive timely notifications about schedule changes.
If a delay disrupts travel plans, passengers are advised to contact the carrier’s customer service. Representatives will help find an alternative option, such as transferring to another bus that departs earlier and is not delayed.
