A Major Fire In Warsaw Destroyed A Car Dealership Along With All The Cars Inside

A major fire broke out in Warsaw on the morning of July 23, engulfing a car dealership and an auto repair shop.

According to RMF 24.

The fire was reported at 5:09 a.m. local time (6:09 a.m. in Minsk). Upon arrival, rescue workers determined that the fire had engulfed a car repair shop and a car dealership connected to each other, measuring approximately 80 by 40 meters.

As a result of the fire, buildings with a total area of about 3,500 square meters were destroyed. By 7:00 a.m., the open flames had been extinguished, after which firefighters continued to douse the building structures with water to prevent the fire from reigniting.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing car explosions during the fire. According to them, all vehicles inside the buildings were destroyed by the fire, as well as about ten cars parked nearby.

Witnesses also reported that tires and car batteries caught fire.

Despite the incident, traffic on the adjacent section of the S8 expressway continued as usual.

Police secured the scene. The cause of the fire will be determined once rescue workers have completed their work.
