Lukashenko Replaced Two Ministers

Lukashenko replaced the heads of two ministries and appointed new Belarusian ambassadors to Tajikistan and Mozambique. This was announced today, July 23.

Vadim Olshevsky has been appointed Minister of Architecture and Construction. Prior to this appointment, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, where he oversaw construction, transportation, and housing and utilities.

Sergei Uldinovich has been appointed Minister of Forestry.

In addition, new heads of diplomatic missions have been appointed. Alexander Khudoleev, who previously served as First Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations, has been appointed Belarusian Ambassador to Tajikistan.

Yuri Nikolaychik has been appointed Belarusian Ambassador to Mozambique on a concurrent basis. He also heads the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Zimbabwe.

Lukashenko also approved the appointments of a number of heads of local executive and administrative bodies.

Sergei Medzvetskas has been approved as First Deputy Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee. Alexander Maksimchuk will become the Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, overseeing construction, transportation, and housing and utilities.

Ruslan Zhukovsky has been appointed Chairman of the Ostrovets District Executive Committee, while Vitaly Shuleiko will head the Slonim District Executive Committee. Igor Averko will become Chairman of the Shchuchin District Executive Committee.

Vladislav Gershgorin has been appointed Head of the Administration of the Leninsky District of Grodno.
