The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Budanov posted on his Facebook page about the results of a phone call between Volodymyr Zelenskyy with U.S. representatives Steven Whitcoff and Jared Kushner.

According to him, the key to bringing about peace lies in the synergy of two approaches: systematic diplomatic efforts at the highest level and the daily strengthening of security and defense forces.

“Ukraine is doing everything it can to ensure a genuine negotiation process and bring the war to an end. Systematic diplomatic efforts at the highest level and the daily strengthening of the security and defense forces—these are parallel processes that are bringing the long-awaited peace closer. “We are continuing our joint work with our American partners,” Budanov wrote.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian negotiating team—which, along with Kirill Budanov, included Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Rustem Umerov and Serhiy Kislitsa, held a telephone conversation with representatives of the U.S. President—Stephen Whitcoff and Jared Kushner. The main topics of discussion were the intensification of diplomatic efforts and concrete steps toward peace.
