Is the dictator admitted to destroying the repeater?
New information has recently emerged stating that the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed a relay station in Belarus that was guiding Russian drones. Consequently, MTS announced a procurement to restore infrastructure in Polesie.
The website Charter97.org decided to ask Ukrainian military and political analyst Alexandra Kovalenko of the “Information Resistance” group Alexander Kovalenko whether the relay station had indeed been destroyed:
— No official statements have been made by Ukraine regarding the destruction of relay stations. Although there was an unambiguous statement from Alexander Syrsky claiming that a repeater had started operating there and that we had silenced it.
It’s quite possible this was a hint that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had carried out an operation against a specific target. But, I want to emphasize, there have been no official statements.
If the relay station was attacked and destroyed, then, of course, the drone would have recorded verification of the operation. Therefore, I think that if the need arises, we’ll soon see verified footage showing a strike on such a relay station.
— Why is Lukashenko himself silent on this?
— Lukashenko will never admit this, because doing so would be an admission of his own absolute helplessness and the helplessness of the so-called “Union State” with Russia.
After all, it turns out that facilities owned by Belarus were destroyed on Belarusian territory—facilities that were also being used by the “Union State” to partially meet its own needs. These facilities could not be protected or shielded in any way. And what will the response to this be? That is the most important question.
Will Lukashenko impose sanctions against Ukraine? Will he close the border or declare war? What will he do? In his position, the best option is, of course, silence.
It appears they are now trying to purchase new repeaters, but Ukraine—if this is indeed true—has shown that we don’t make empty threats. So Lukashenko may restore communications, but if they’re used to establish and maintain communication channels for launching “suicide drone” strikes on Ukrainian territory, history will repeat itself. That’s the nature of this game of silence.
