Before meeting with Netanyahu, the U.S. president held talks with Zelenskyy.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived at the White House for a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, according to Ynet.
The talks in the Oval Office will be closed to the press, with no joint statements or answers to journalists’ questions.
As the publication notes, the meeting is taking place at a time when Trump is deciding whether to continue the campaign against Iran or to once again pursue a diplomatic path. Netanyahu intends to convince the U.S. president to reject the possibility of reaching an agreement with Tehran, the publication reports.
The prime minister also plans to present Trump with updated intelligence on Iran’s attempts to rebuild its missile capabilities, drone program, and nuclear program following the strikes. The focus will be on the fortified underground facility “Har Makosh” near Natanz, where, according to Israeli estimates, centrifuges and other equipment related to the nuclear program have been moved.
Before meeting with Netanyahu, Trump held talks with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Netanyahu also posted a photo from the White House, writing that he was “currently meeting” with U.S. President Donald Trump.
In the post, he called Trump his “friend” and noted that the talks between the two leaders are taking place at a high level. No further details of the meeting were provided.
