The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also revealed details of the attack on the oil refinery in Ryazan.
On the morning of July 29, explosions were heard in Ryazan, Russia. Afterward, smoke was visible in the sky above the city.
Russians reported strikes on the Wildberries warehouse; a local oil refinery was also attacked. Details were reported by Exilenova+, and these and other strikes against the enemy were confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Defense forces struck an oil refinery in Ryazan and hit a number of other targets: a statement from the General Staff
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that on the night of July 29, another Russian oil refinery came under attack—this time in Ryazan.
“As part of efforts to reduce the military-economic potential of the Russian aggressor, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Ryazan Oil Refinery in the Ryazan Region of the Russian Federation. A direct hit on the facility was recorded, followed by a fire on the plant’s grounds,” the statement reads.
The targeted oil refinery is one of the largest in Russia.
The facility produces automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation gasoline, and other petroleum products, which are used, in particular, to meet the needs of the Russian Federation’s military-industrial complex and armed forces.
In addition, a base for high-speed boats of the Russian Federation’s Black Sea Fleet in the Mezhovodnoye area (Autonomous Republic of Crimea) was struck.
“The facility is used for the maintenance and support of high-speed boats, which are deployed for patrolling, coastal defense, logistical support, and other tasks in the interests of the Russian occupiers,” the General Staff noted.
In the Bryansk region near Pochep, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian radar station.
The Ukrainian military also struck a site in Donetsk used for the storage, preparation, and launch of attack UAVs; a logistics depot in Portovskoye; and a road bridge near Vyselky in the Donetsk region, which the enemy uses for military logistics.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at ending the armed aggression of the Russian Federation,” the General Staff assured.
What is known about the attack on Ryazan
The first report of the attack on Ryazan appeared on Exilenova+ at 5:20 a.m.
“Ryazan. Local residents are reporting an attack and explosions,” the post stated.
The channel’s creators published a compilation of footage shot by Russians showing Russian air defense systems in action, explosions, and the sounds of drone engines.
The first details soon emerged: the author of one of the videos stated that, in particular, a warehouse belonging to the Russian marketplace Wildberries in the village of Rybnoye near Ryazan had been attacked. A fire broke out there.

The local oil refinery was also affected: a fire broke out there.
The strike on the facility was confirmed by the independent Russian publication Astra.
This refinery is one of three that, according to Sergei Vakulenko, an expert at the Carnegie Eurasia Center, supply gasoline to the Moscow region via a petroleum products pipeline. It had already suspended operations following a drone attack on May 15, Reuters reported.

The Ryazan Oil Refinery (RNPP) is a Russian oil refinery located within the Southern Industrial Hub in Ryazan. It is owned by JSC “Ryazan Oil Refining Company,” which is part of the state-owned corporation PJSC “Rosneft.”
The stated maximum possible crude oil processing capacity is 17–18 million metric tons per year.
