Media Reports: Russian X-101 Missile Crashes In Poland

A Russian missile likely crashed near the village of Tarnava-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship. A government source told Wirtualna Polska was informed by a government source. The investigation into the object is ongoing.

“Everything points to the fact that it was a Russian missile,” a government source told Wirtualna Polska. Explosives experts are still examining the object.

Some analysts tracking the war in Ukraine and Russian shelling had previously reported that a Russian Kh-101 air-to-ground cruise missile might have entered Polish airspace.

To verify and definitively confirm the radar data, a Mi-24 helicopter was dispatched to the area where the object was last detected. Its crew located the probable crash site in an undeveloped area near the village of Tarnava-Kolonia in the Lublin Voivodeship.

As previously reported by the website Charter97.org, during a massive Russian missile strike on Ukraine, one of the missiles violated Polish airspace and crashed in the Lublin Voivodeship. In connection with the incident, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk convened a coordination group.
